Music/Sound

We are trying to find out what type of music and/or sound we need to combine with our film. we as a group were thinking thast we will use non-diegetic sound for the opening two minute seqence. We all fell that the muisic is one of the most important ascpect of making a horror film scary. If the music isn't eerie and spine chilling the whole scene will lose it's effect of being a horror film. In all great horror films the sound/music brings everything together to make it a scary film or scene. The sound creates tension within the audience which keeps them on edge and entertained. The music/sound that we plan to use will start off calm and normal but with a scary twist, but as things start to turn for the worst the music will become louder, jumpy and quicker. The music will fit into the shots as they will also be quick and jumpy to make the audience unsettles. We are thinking of creating a track ourselves with a friend of ours in his studio or we may use the internet to find something that we feel will suit our film.
